Dear Fellow Student,

Will you do me a favour?

For four years now, we have been having the famous “East African Students for Liberty Conference” hosted for free in Kenya.

This year, the conference is still free and will still be held in Kenya. Nothing much has really changed, except the lineup of the invited speakers.

Which brings me to the favour:

We want to make sure of the demand-or the lack of demand before we sink too much effort & resources in preparing for the event. So I have come to you as fellow student.

Will you register (check the form at the end of the letter) even for our sake then?

Let me explain.

I started attending the conferences since their inauguration in 2014. Back then I was in my final year of studies (5th year, BSc. Electrical Engineering). The event made deep impression on me and helped me grow as libertarian. Later on (in 2015) I trained as a local coordinator.

Now, I am in my 2nd Year of studies (MSc. Electrical Engineering) and I still find these conferences very educative and insightful. I was introduced to free markets authors and philosophers such as Friedrich Hayek, Ayn Rand and Karl Popper.

Who organizes the conference?

The conference is organized by Africa Students For Liberty (ASFL), a member of Students For Liberty. ASFL is an organization that promotes ideas of economic freedom to African students. It has an aim of developing a generation of Africans who advocate for individual and economic freedom. The organization has 6000 members from 22 African countries. It also boasts 200 trained leaders who commit to a year-long engagement; I am part of this 200 trained leaders.

By attending the conference, you will hear from top speakers in the libertarian movement, network with other pro-liberty students, discover countless opportunities for jobs, internships, conferences and seminars, and have a lot of fun with other students. You will meet with student lawyers, engineers, accountants, and entrepreneurs etc. who are all united in the cause for liberty.

This event will feature tremendous speakers and panels on the ideas behind a free society and the actions necessary to implement them. In addition, five free meals and drinks and our evening social are included with your FREE registration.

Past speakers have included, Tom G. Palmer, Alexander McCobin, Eng. Patrick Obath, Dave Muumbi, Prof. Bitange Ndemo and Olumayowa Okediran, Dr Luis G Franceschi and many other notable leaders.

This year’s conference is themed, “Creating Wealth through Free Markets” and will be taking place in Nigeria, Tanzania and Kenya. The meet in Kenya will be on 14th October, at the Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA). Some of the speakers lined up for the event include:

  •     Tobias Alando – Head of Membership, Kenya Association of Manufacturers
  •     Mike Rotich – Co-founder, East African Policy Centre

Surely, you will not hesitate to just avail yourself for event.  Here’s  your  chance  to  equip  yourself  for  success, as  few  men  & women are  equipped,  under  the  guidance of some of the influential business leaders in the country at a cost of nothing! but your time.

Experts say, if you want to get ahead fast…if you want a position of real importance and responsibility-then a knowledge of networking and winning friends is “AN ABSOLUTE NECESSITY for your future! The knowledge of the available resources to aid your work,   of people who can connect you to job opportunities, of influencers who can connect you to projects and tenders, of potential customers to your services or products, of your peers and competitors  is KEY to succeeding in our much interconnected world. This conference provides just such an opportunity, for free.

Naturally, we are not making this request to everyone, so whether you accept it or not, we should feel obliged if you would just fill the form and answer the curious liberty themed queries we have for you.

Naturally, too, your opinion will be of value to us only if we get it NOW –since we only have four days to the conference.

Won’t you, therefore, fill in the simple form by clicking the link below? TODAY if you can? – So there will be no chance of forgetting it. Spots are also limited only those registered will be able to secure their places.

Remember it does not matter what your profession is; whether you are a student doctor, a lawyer, business person, musician, this event is for you.

Registration is by this online form.

Sincerely, and For Liberty.

Benard Mumo Makaa.
